Restore Honour & Splendour

I hope you are ready to walk with the Lord today, receive from Him and allow Him to lead you one step at a time. There is absolutely nothing that He cannot do or undo. When we submit ourselves to Him, He knows how to turn around every aspect of our lives for His glory and honour.

The Bible says in the book of Nahum 2:2, Even though the destroyer has destroyed Judah, the Lord will restore its honour. Israel’s vine has been stripped of branches, but he will restore its splendour.

This is what God was promising the nation of Judah and the nation of Israel. God is speaking to their enemies, a city called Nineveh which is the capital city of the Assyria. History shows that the nation of Assyria has tormented the nation of Judah and Israel.

Many of us may feel that the entire year has been stolen from us, our relationships were taken away, resources that should have been ours is no longer in our hands, the enemy took advantage of some weak areas and he took what rightfully belonged to us. Today, we have the opportunity to go back to God. God knows what the enemy has done to His children; the killing, the stealing and the destroying, and taking away their fruit-bearing capacity. A vine disconnected from the branch has the appearance of a vine but has lost its fruit bearing capacity, it is no longer useful or productive. Some of us feel like we have been working so hard but not able to see results. But the Lord promises to restore the honour of this nation. God’s word says ‘he that honours me, I will honour’. When we live a life of honouring, adoring and respecting God, He knows how to restore our honour.
Believe this in every area of your life. The honour that was taken away from you is not going to come back from people but from the Lord Himself.

The next thing God says is that He will restore your splendour. Honour is something every human being deserves. God wants to not just make sure that you are respected and honoured but He wants to also highlight you, elevate you, put the spotlight on you and make you glamorous. He is not just making you be respected but also filled with splendour.

It’s amazing that God is not speaking this to the people of God, but to the enemies of the people of God. I speak to your enemies, “the Lord is about to restore the honour of His son and His daughter; the Lord is about to restore their splendour and their fruit-bearing capacity is coming back one more time”. In the year/season ahead, you are going to be more fruitful than you have ever dreamt of in your life. May the Lord bless you with this Word, enjoy basking in the beautiful promises that God has given us for the season ahead.
