Life-Giving Words
Listen
Transcript:
Welcome to another day with Jesus! Let us dive deeper into the Word of God today.
In today’s scripture, there is a contrast between the words spoken by the ungodly and the righteous. Let us analyze our identity and understand which category we fall into. When we believe that we are saved and are chosen to represent Christ, then it is necessary for us that words must be a life-giving fountain.
The world is watching and is attentive to our words which is why it is important for us to meditate before we release a word and be careful with it. What we speak is an overflow of what we feel and at the time it is not what God feels. A godly person is intentional about his words. It is supposed to give life to an individual. On a daily basis, let us make our words be a life-giving fountain. We must evaluate our words which are spoken to our family, friends and the ones we choose to release on social media.
The words of the godly are powerful to give life which is a manifestation of Christ in us. Share on XAt times as we tend to influence people, we are bound to use certain words to rebuke or change a certain person. But in those moments, our words must still give life and not hold any violent intention. The words of the wicked may be very pleasing on the outside and yet carry violent intentions. It blind sights the other person and lets them fall for it.
On the outside, the words of the wicked and the words of the righteous are similar. But, the intentions both carry are completely different. The words of the righteous carry a life-giving strength and the words of the wicked carry secret violent intentions.
When a godly person speaks, he or she edifies his speech to give life. But when a wicked person speaks, he or she has still had wicked intentions.
If you feel to have been speaking wrongly, come to the Lord and ask Him to transform you and the way you speak as your tongue is a very precious weapon.
The greater the words you speak to life, the greater is your victory.
