Persecute the Spirit Man

Transcript:

The birth of Jesus was special. He was conceived, baptized, driven, led by the Holy Spirit and all the miracles He did, was done by the power of the Holy Spirit.

May you discover a deep, personal relationship with the Holy Spirit and when you do so you’d overflow in the grace that will make you imitate and become like Jesus in every way.

It is only possible through the presence of the Holy Spirit to become like Jesus. Share on X

In flesh we represent disobedience, but in the spirit God has created us with a different identity.

Galatians chapter 4 talks about a man that is led by the spirit and the one sustained by the flesh. 

Verse 29 reflects the story of Ishmael and Isaac, of how Ishmael who was born of the flesh persecuted Isaac who was born in the spirit.

Anything that is in the flesh always fights what is born of the spirit. Share on X

We have the opportunity to either yield to the flesh, put to death the Adam nature or yield to the spirit, the Jesus nature.

Jesus is the perfect representation of God’s love, glory, grace and everything of the Father, which is exemplified and shown through Jesus. And the more we are controlled by the Holy Spirit the more we are going to show the character of Jesus.

In everything, give your spirt man full control else it’s the flesh that will end up inheriting you. That is why Abraham had to intentionally put Hagar and Ishmael out of the house, else Isaac wouldn’t have been able to sustain.

You can either be friend of God or friend of the world, led by the spirit or led by your carnal nature. Share on X
