Shout for Joy

Transcript:Greetings in Jesus Name! Remember that God is in control of your life. You have to continue to trust in Him, you have to continue to put your hope in Him, put your faith in Him. In the worst days of your life, He will still come through for you. He will still send someone to assure you, how much He loves you. How much He cares for you, you are not alone. From the book of Jeremiah Chapter 41, there is a person by the name of Ishmael who is a rebel. This is the time when the nation of Judah didn’t have a proper government. The king and the wise people in the nation of Judah had been taken into Babylon as exiles. All the things in the temple, all the precious metals, precious vessels, the priests all of them had been taken away and the nation of Judah is almost in ruins. All this point the King of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar had appointed another governor in Judah, by the name Gedaliah. Now Gedaliah is somehow managing the remnant in this nation of Judah. He is catering to their needs, he is making sure their basic necessities are there and this is the time when this rebel guy Ishmael. comes into the scene. The first thing he does is he kills Gedaliah and then the next thing that he does him there were these people, that had come to worship God in the temple. He takes them by surprise and he kills a lot of them and he takes a lot of them as captives. In this whole process, he is accumulating captives. Every time he kills somebody, he also takes their families, their women, their children as captives now they are totally hopeless and helpless they don’t have anybody to rescue them. There is no King, there is no law in the land. There is no protection, there is no provision for anybody to be rescued from a situation like this. It says in Jeremiah Chapter 41 Verse 11. But the Johanan the son of Kareah and the other military leaders. They heard about Ishmael’s crimes they took all their men and set out to stop him. They couldn’t rest anymore, they couldn’t be happy anymore. They couldn’t just live their lives in the same comfort anymore. Now, these guys were not in power. Now, these guys were not the ones Nebuchadnezzar had appointed as the governor of Judah. This guy didn’t come from the family line of David. They didn’t have any royal responsibilities and yet when they heard of evil things happening in their nation, they just couldn’t stay quiet, they just couldn’t stay silent. They took upon themselves this responsibility to go and free these people who are captives to Ishmael. The Bible says in Verse 13. The people that Ishmael had captured shouted for joy when they saw Johanan and the other military leaders. They are following Ishmael, but they are not really satisfied with Ishmael, because they know that Ishmael had forced them to follow him. Ishmael, as taken them into captivity and made sure that they have no other option, but to, serve Ishmael. But as soon as they saw a different leader, a brave one, a generous one, a kind one a man and his people that are out there to help others irrespective of what he will get back in return. The Bible says, these guys that were in captivity started shouting for joy, they started rejoicing, they started celebrating. We may find ourselves as captives, we may find ourselves in bondage to our workplaces, in our marriages and at times even in churches under spiritual leadership and we may feel like we have been forced to do certain things. Here’s a reminder, that the Lord is going to send a Johanan for you. The Lord will rise up somebody who is going to come and fight for you without an agenda, without wanting anything in return the Lord then sends selfless people your way. Today, if you are believing the word that I am giving you, help is coming in your marriage, help is coming at your doorstep, help is coming for your health, help is coming for your relationship, help is coming for you to understand how to do your finances correct, help is coming in every aspect of your life. You are not going to have to go into exile again. The Lord is promising that you are going to be rescued. You are going to have a shout of joy in this season, so can you practice this doing ahead of time. When you still don’t have solutions can you practice joy and I will assure you that Johanan the military leader, the angel armies they are on their way to help you? They are on their way to set you free, they are on their way to redeem you from the clutches of the enemy. Don't wait for the answer to be joyful but be joyful in this place when you still don't have access. Share on XI know that sometimes when we are in a season of getting attacked in from every area. We can become hopeless when we don’t see any help. We can reach a place where we lose our faith and our trust in God and in everybody around us. But today the Lord is asking you not to be discouraged. The Lord is encouraging you to keep your eyes fixed on Him because He will arrive just in time.
