Good morning and greetings to you all in the precious name of Jesus!
My prayer and my hope are that you and I will constantly sit in the presence of God and we will multiply the little things that God has already spoken to us. We will be faithful to the small revelations that we have received from God to such an extent that those revelations will flow out as rivers of faith, rivers of prophecy, rivers of healing and it will bless others.
Luke 1:76 says, “And you my little son, will be called the prophet of the Most High, because you will prepare the way for the Lord.”
Though John was just a baby and Zechariah did not know the abilities or talents of his son, yet he prophesies over him saying, “You will be called the prophet of the Most High.” And true enough that is what John was called. Jesus looked at him and said, “This is the Elijah that was supposed to come!” John was not just called a prophet of Most High but he also prepared the way for the Messiah.
My question is how did John’s father prophesy so accurately about John?
We need to understand the context of the story. Zechariah had an encounter with God. An angel gave him a word that Zechariah couldn’t believe and because of his unbelief, he couldn’t speak or prophesy. In my opinion, the last interaction that he had was with the angel of God and for the next nine-month he had been meditating on the word that the angel gave him and now he reached a place where that one small revelation became a river on the inside of him. As soon as his speech is restored, we see a river of prophecy being released from his mouth.
My question to you is, what are you meditating and dwelling upon? Are we dwelling and multiplying on the word that we have been receiving each and every Sunday? When we open our mouth to speak, rivers should flow from our mouth and for that to happen we must stay in that place of submission, quietness, calmness and constantly meditate on that last word or blessing or prophesy or instruction that we have received from God. We must dwell upon it so that the word will bear much fruit in our spirit. In ministry, it is not defined by what you speak out in public. The overflow that comes out of your life in a public platform is the result of the meditation that you have had in private.
Your ministry is the result of the things that you have been dwelling upon in a day to day basis. Share on XMy prayer is that today you will not take this revelation for granted. You will in fact sit in the presence of God, quieten yourself and meditate on what God has been speaking to you so that when you speak to someone or go to a place, there will be rivers constantly flowing out of you.
May you have a blessed and great week ahead.
