“But now you are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life.”- Romans‬ ‭6:22‬
Transcript:

We have to focus our hearts on the journey that lies ahead of us. So many times, the enemy is successful in trapping us in the thoughts of our past, but if we would just focus on where God is leading us, it will be more much easier for us to remain patient through all the highs and the lows of everyday life.

The Bible says in Romans 6:22, “But now you are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life.” God is telling us to live our lives in such a way that it will lead to holiness and ultimately to eternal life. Here, Apostle Paul is explaining the power of sin and the power of holiness. Because we are born in the lineage of Adam and Eve, no matter from which city or nation we are born in, we have sin in our blood, and all through our lives, we will gravitate towards sinning more because once upon a time we were slaves to the power of sin, but when we received Jesus in our hearts, now we are no longer slaves to the power of sin and are free from it. When it comes to sin, you have no obligation to going back to doing those sins, but you have to submit to God like you are a slave. You are either going to be living in submission to the world around you or living in submission to God.

Slavery to God is the most joyful lifestyle that is everlasting and there is a peace that surpasses all understanding and every step that you take will be ordained by God himself and that is the power of slavery to God. If you are a slave to God, you will make choices that will ultimately lead you to holiness and result in eternal life.

Slavery to God is the most pleasurable thing you can do on this earth. Share on X

People would fool you into believing that you can live however you want to live and you will have eternal life, but the Bible says you would have to constantly live in such a way that is devoid of the power of sin and you are a slave to God.

Can we start doing from today a lifestyle that is free from the power of sin and the one that can make you a slave of God. If so, then we will come out successful as people that are holy and ready to inherit eternal life. Not only should we resolve this in our heart but we should depend on the Holy Spirit to work in our lives in such a way that the fruit of the spirit can manifest and not the fruit of the flesh. The more that we rely on ourselves, the more we will fail, but the more we rely on Holy Spirit, the more we will be successful in living a lifestyle that is free from the power of sin and slave to the will and purposes of God.
