God is the Lover of our soul and that is why He loves to dwell within us. Our entire life can be transformed into a replica of His image. We can host His presence to the extent that we completely transform into who He is and we become one with Him. This is God’s desire for us.
1 John 4:15 shows how we can achieve this. Many have issues with this because it’s not easy to understand, or reason, or because we don’t know who God is. When we know the Father, we know the Son. Jesus came to reveal the heart of the Father. So when we don’t understand the Father, we can start looking at Jesus. Jesus said, ‘I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life and no one comes to the Father except through Me’. If we believe what Jesus said, confess it, and surrender, then God will abide in us. The moment we believe in Him and give our hearts to Him, He sends the third Person of the Trinity, The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit comes inside our body and takes over; our body then becomes the temple of God, and He begins to rule over our lives. He begins to teach, direct, and counsel us to the point that we are also able to dwell in Him. We get drawn into a deep, intimate place, and we abide in the Trinity.
God is inviting us into this deep place of intimacy, bonding, love, joy, and peace. When we abide in Him and there’s a constant overflow from us to Him and Him to us, we will begin to look like Him. People around us will then be able to see the grace of God in our lives. The Bible says, ‘Let your light so shine before men that they might see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven’. Trust in Jesus, confess that Jesus is Who He claimed to be, study what Jesus said about Himself, and make it your life’s declaration.
