How Long You Hide?
Listen
Transcript:
Today the Lord wants to reveal His presence to you. He wants to manifest His face in your life. We might feel rejected, betrayed, alone. The people we are surrounded by are usually people who are broken, hurting, people who have their own struggles. Because of this they may speak things or do things which might make us feel not loved, not understood or accepted. But today the Lord wants us to understand that inspite of what you are feeling or what you are going through, God’s hand is upon our life. In fact God invites us to Him so that we can communicate our feelings to Him.
In psalms 89:46, the psalmist is crying out to God as to how long will God hide His face, His presence from him! The psalmist is not complaining about his physical trouble but he is complaining about the fact that God’s presence is hidden from him.
Here’s a key, if you can make it a point to host the presence of God in the most dreadful relationships and challenging situations of life, if you can learn to walk with God and tap into the presence of God, respond to the presence of God in the midst of fire, when you are faced with lions that are hungry to devour you, if you can continue to host the presence of God then you will have the strength, grace, perspective, wisdom, understanding that is required for you to face your trials and tribulations.
The psalmist is crying and asking God, will He hide His face forever? But no! His presence is inside of us. If we can allow God to use the Spirit of God that is inside of us, that is around us and upon us, we will see a breakthrough today.
The psalmist is saying that it’s because of God’s anger towards him that God has hidden His face from him. He is almost feeling guilty about his mistakes and sin. And now he is asking God to let His anger go off.
Sometimes we may make mistakes by getting into a relationship that God did not want you be in or take up a business adventure that God did not want you take up and yet you did it and now you see the consequences of it.
You might feel that God has left you and is angry with you and left you to be by yourself, and as much as you feel that you are welcome to express that in the presence of God rather than running away from God or avoiding His presence.
If you will lead your heart and mind to the feet of Jesus, you will see and experience Him like never before.
Come into His presence today and let Him be the answer, guide, voice and solution in the midst of all your troubles and dark situations.
