Meditate on Your Anointing
Elisha left the oxen standing there, ran after Elijah, and said to him, “First let me go and kiss my father and mother goodbye, and then I will go with you!”
Elijah replied, “Go on back, but think about what I have done to you.” – 1 Kings 19:20

Today, we have to meditate on God’s work in our life. Every day that we come into the presence of God, He is doing something new. But the problem with so many of us that we are quick to forget as to what God has deposited in us.
Today. the Lord is encouraging us not to forget what He has already given us. Not to devalue and underestimate the power that God has deposited within you. Elisha was asking permission from Elijah to go to his family and say goodbye. His request was not unnatural or unbiblical. Elijah replied you can go but you should constantly meditate on what I have done to you.
When God places anointing in our life we are not immediately gonna walk in the fulness of that anointing. When we look into the life of David, he was anointed to be the King but he became a King only at a later phase in his life. He had to go through a process of wilderness, warfare before he could come to that place. Psalms 23 we see how he meditated on God’s goodness in selecting and choosing him.
My question to you is this, how often do you meditate on what God has deposited within you? It may take seasons to manifest but we have a responsibility to meditate upon the promises and prophesies and anointing that has been released upon us.
The fullness of anointing is when we continually meditate upon the promises and prophesies. Share on XWe see how Solomon spent his time growing in wisdom. His parents have given him instructions. All through his life, he has been meditating and when God came and asked what do you want, he asked for wisdom.
So my prayer in this season is that I will be an intentional person who will meditate on what God has revealed to me.
