All Your Heart

Nov 12, 2019 | Prayer

Jeremiah 29:13 HCSB
You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.

The first step God wants us to take is to make intentional efforts to seek Him, to go after Him and find Him. The purpose of us seeking God is to know His will. It is important for a child of God to pray, so our hearts and minds will be in sync with the heart and mind of God.

It is not necessarily that all those who seek Him shall find Him. The condition for us to find God when we search for Him is, we search for him with all of our heart. Our heart has the ability to think, feel and make decisions. When we go after God, we must give all our heart that is our thoughts, emotions, will power and determination. The importance of God cannot be shared when we seek Him.

Let us make an intentional effort that when we connect with God to keep away from all our distractions. Let us make this effort on a daily basis. Let us seek Him with all of our heart and everything within us.

Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.

The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.

God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.

The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
