Complete Work of Faith
2 Thessalonians 1:11 GNT
“That is why we always pray for you. We ask our God to make you worthy of the life he has called you to live. May he fulfill by his power all your desire for goodness and complete your work of faith.”
Let’s look at the heart of God, plan of God and purposes of God for our lives. The more we understand God’s plan for us, the better we can pray the right kind of prayers.
The one reason why our prayers don’t get answered is because we don’t pray in alignment with what God has planned or ordained for us.
Here are few things that 2 Thessalonians 1:11 explains;
⁃ The calling upon our life is very high and serious, it has to impact generations.
⁃ Bible says, we need to pray that God makes us worthy to live the life God has called us for.
⁃ We must pray according to this verse, pray and ask God to give us the power to desire goodness.
⁃ We have to ask God to give us the power to do every act of goodness and complete the work of faith.
⁃ In Christian life we need to be continually growing and increasing in our walk of faith.
Paul asks the church to pray these prayers, grow in the Lord.
Don’t give up on your prayer, just because you don’t have reasons to pray or you don’t know what to pray, go through the scriptures and look for verses on prayer and hold on to them.
Today let’s begin to pray these prayers which will impact us for eternity. God’s word is alive. These are seeds being planted, when harvest season comes, these prayers will bear fruit.
Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
