Did Not See or Hear!
Matthew 13:17 NLT
I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, but they didn’t see it. And they longed to hear what you hear, but they didn’t hear it.
The Bible says that we cannot please God without faith. Faith is an assurance of the things that we do not see.
So often we are led by the things that we can see and understand and that is the reason that we are unable to grow in our relationship with God.
In Matthew 13:17 Jesus is speaking about the saints and prophets from the old testament who didn’t had the chance to experience Jesus the way the apostle, disciples and the people in and around Israel had during the days of Jesus where they experienced the physical presence of Jesus on the earth.
How did they walk with God when they did not see or hear? Of course by Faith!
Today we do not live by faith but by sight. If you believe this you will be elevated in your worship, prayer and dreams and every area of your life, because you are no longer depending on physical tangible touch from God.
We need to walk with God even when we don’t experience it.
That is the kind of faith you need to carry when you go into a service or walk in to a time of prayer.
Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
