Faith on Fire
1 Peter 1:7 NLT
These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold – though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.
1 Peter 1:7 talks about the times when we are going through trials and tests. How do we respond to the trials, to God and to our family?
The bible mentions the purpose behind our test and trials is to see whether our faith is genuine or not.
God in fact spoke to the devil to test Job, because God knew that his faith was genuine.
When you are tested with fire, don’t think that the fire will kill you, but rather look at the fire as the one that purifies you.
Paul and Silas who were in prison, there was no deliverance that came to them even after praying and worshipping, Peter on the other hand didn’t do anything yet he was delivered. You would find many such incidents in the Bible. Though we might not have answers for all our questions, but we can ask God for deliverance and healing and believe that the trials and tests has the potential to purify us and make us shine bright.
The one reason why we go through trials is because our faith needs to become strong and has to be on God alone.
When we realise the purpose behind the trials we go through, we can use and exercise our faith to overcome those trials. This will lead for your faith to become more stronger.
Today be a day where you exercise your faith, authority, patience, trust and firm confidence in God’s plans for your life.
God bless you!
