High Density

Mar 30, 2020 | Prayer

2 Chronicles 7:1-3 MSG
“When Solomon finished praying, a bolt of lightning out of heaven struck the Whole-Burnt-Offering and sacrifices and the Glory of GOD filled The Temple. The Glory was so dense that the priests couldn’t get in— GOD so filled The Temple that there was no room for the priests! When all Israel saw the fire fall from heaven and the Glory of GOD fill The Temple, they fell on their knees, bowed their heads, and worshiped, thanking GOD: Yes! God is good! His love never quits!”

This podcast is a repost, originally published on September 5, 2017.

This verse is about the time when Solomon dedicates the temple for the glory and honour for God’s name and this is after he had offered the sacrifices and the burnt offerings to God.
We see five things in this verse:

  1. They finished praying
  2. They saw the fullness of God
  3. The Glory became dense
  4. There is no room for mistakes
  5. Worship ultimately happens

He not only offered sacrifice but he also prayed along with it. One of the famous prayer of Solomon was he prayed “Lord if Your people pray and turn and repent, won’t You turn from heaven and heal their land?” For which God answered an yes to it.

God does not want to move until the time we pray.

Every encounter that you receive from God will not be for any good work you did or any ministry you did or anything, but it will be in response to a life of prayer and deep intimacy with God.

… a bolt of lightning out of heaven struck the Whole-Burnt-Offering and sacrifices and the Glory of GOD filled The Temple.

In the new testament is not the church building that is the temple of God but it is our bodies. Wherever people gather in the name of God, the people are the temple of God.

As a reponse to Solomon’s prayer there was an infilling of God in that temple.

This is the testimony of Kenneth Hagin when once he was healed in the year of 1933. He shares about the time when he was on the death bed, how God visited him. His brother went and told his mother and grandmother that Kenneth Hagin was about to die and that was the time Kenneth Hagin was having an encounter with God. As his mother rushed into the room, she went and hit a glass door, where she bounced off the wall of God’s glory. Her body became so weak that she had to sit for a while. Similar thing happened with his grandmother as well. That is how dense the glory of God can become.

Hope this happens in our lives where God’s glory becomes dense around us that nothing but God will have access to every area of our lives. When God’s glory becomes dense in our lives then there will be no room for mistakes, for negative things or for any unbiblical activity.

Many a times we indulge in sin so freely, it’s not because God is not living inside of us, but we have not cultivated the presence of God to such an extent that the glory of God becomes dense in our lives.

The verse says that there was no room for priests and consecutively they fell to their knees and worshipping God and saying that He is good and His love never quits.

We pray that this will be the attitude of your life.
