I am Strong
2 Corinthians 12:10 NLT
That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
The more we realise how good God is, the less we crib about the circumstances. The more we realise He is a very present help in times of trouble, the less we will be upset. We need to see God as the omnipotent and the one who is orchestraing every detail of our life and we need to depend on Him.
Paul speaks about a personal encounter he had with Jesus in 2 Corinthians 12:10. Paul says that he takes pleasure in his weaknesses. This is surprising as we normally don’t talk about our weaknesses. But, Paul says His (Jesus’) grace will manifest when he is weak.
We crib and talk bad about those areas that don’t function right. Instead, let’s take pleasure and celebrate those areas of life that are not right (every area that is weak). The more we surrender these areas to Jesus, the more His grace would flow through us.
Paul goes on to say not just weaknesses but insults, hardships, persecutions and troubles. There are several areas of life where our allegiance is to Jesus and because of that we suffer in those areas of life.
He goes on to say, when I am weak then I am strong, this is also mentioned in the book of Joel. Is God asking you to speak a lie or against a factual circumstances you are surrounded with? Absolutely not!
You’re being weak maybe a fact but, the the truth is you are strong, Your fact may be physical, your truth is spiritual.
No matter how weak, poor, dumb you look right now I’m declaring let the strength of God manifest and overflow into your body and spirit.
When you have God on your side there is absolutely nothing you have to crib about!
When you have God with you then you have lost the right of complaining anymore!
This day, no matter what you’re going through, confess this – when I am weak, then I am strong.

Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
