“So he went to pray a third time, saying the same things again.” – Matthew 26:44

Transcript:

Welcome to this beautiful day. Believing that there is a desire to pray and seek Gods face like never before. There are times we feel like we are not seeing any results or answers. The more we pray, the harder our problems seem to be getting. But It is necessary to be consistent in our prayer there are times that we pray and it seems like we do not see any results. Jesus went through a season where He had to pray again and again. Jesus prayed three Continuous times and each time He prayed, He prayed the same thing. Usually when in a conversation with someone after saying something once, you don’t see the need to say something again and again. We would actually see that the person we are speaking to is not hearing us anymore. We may think Jesus did not get discouraged or there was no frustration in his mind. When we check we will see the sorrow and anguish He was in at this moment. It was not easy for him but at this point, He is still seeking the will of God. He does not know how everything would turn out to be meaning He kept aside his Omniscience. The physical incarnation of Jesus was necessary but when God took the form of Jesus in form of human flesh, he was not omnipotent, omnipresent or omniscient. That is why the Lord would have to Pray to understand the fathers will. Here in scriptures, we see how Jesus is seeking the Father’s will, trying to understand just like us when we seek to understand what is in the thought process of God. Many times we try to check and see what is in the thought process of God and the Bible shows us He did it again and again without the help of His disciples.

Consistency in prayer is a necessity Share on X

We may think that if our church does not pray with us then we will just not try to do again but Jesus’ team member did not support him but he kept persisting and going even though he felt like the father did not give him direction the first two times. We can see Paul praying also so many times but yet He did not give up but continued to seek God for his answer. There was pain and sorrow but he did not give up. The Lord is calling us back into deep seasons and times of prayer this season in our times of pain and distress. May our revelation of prayer give us understanding and perspective into Gods heart and mind the same way Jesus had access into the mind of God because of prayer.
