When you pray, don’t be like the hypocrites who love to pray publicly on street corners and in the synagogues where everyone can see them. I tell you the truth, that is all the reward they will ever get.

Prayer is communion with God. It’s our personal time of giving and receiving from God. We should keep our prayers holy and sacred.
Prayers should neither be made to impress the ears and hearts of people and get acknowledged by them, nor should it be to impress God.
If we pray to impress and get acknowledged, then that is all the reward that we will get. If we want good results of our prayers that glorify Jesus, then we should be people who pray even when no one watches or appreciates us.
When God looks at us, He sees Jesus in us and is already impressed by us; we don’t need to impress Him with our prayers.
We should come to GOD like a baby; with no intentions to impress Him but to have a relationship with Him.
God already loves us more than we love Him. So we should pray with a sincere heart. And while praying in public we should not pray to get any attention to ourselves but to get people’s focus on God in the way our focus is on God and to help increase their faith in God.
Let us pray to communicate with God, to know Him better and have a relationship with Him because we love Him, and not to impress anyone.
Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
