We would be studying from the Old Testament about all the battles – especially the victorious ones. We would also study some principles that stopped the people from becoming victorious and some principles that can be used in our personal lives over the next 21 days.

The reference verse for today is from the first book of the Bible, Genesis and the text talks about Abram and Lot.

Chapter 14 talks about how Lot went and stayed in a place called Sodom and Gomorrah, how it was destroyed. But, before that in Sodom and Gomorrah the kings of the lands had alliances and fought with other kings and during the battle they captured all the people of Sodom and Gomorrah including Lot.

Somebody came to Abraham with this information that his nephew has been captured.

Verses 14 to 16 explains that in the other group there were about 6 nationalities. But, Abraham had 318 trained men who had been born into his household and then he pursued after Kedorlaomers army until he caught them at the place called Dan.

Later Abraham divided his men and attacked during the night. Kedrolaomer’s army fled but Abram chased them as far as Hobah, North of Damascus. Abram recovered all the goods that had been taken also brought back his nephew, Lot with his possessions and other captives.

All of this happened during the nights. Night times were not times of battle. Many times we go through a night season.
We might be going through a phase in life where don’t see anything clearly. We might not have direction or would not be able hear the voice of God.

In such times, we need to take authority and believe for victory like Abraham did. Not having any direction should not stop us from praying.
