Today we are going to discuss about David and Goliath’s battle. One of the most famous battles in the Bible. A man against a nation.
David assured Saul about going against the Philistine – Goliath.
The Philistine had a champion to call-out threats against Israelites. Goliath continually kept voicing threats and blaspheming against the God of Israel.
Many times, in our lives the enemy begins to call out threats or begins to speak lies in different areas of life and it does not stop there it goes onto different communities, cities and churches.
Goliath’s influence was over an entire nation which is symbolic of a principality that was in existence.
In the New Testament the Bible says in Ephesians 6:12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
Principalities rule according to geographical boundaries, land, region, group and community.
There are times when we notice people in an area/region respond in a particular manner, which is not just part of the gene pool but its a certain principality or a power that controls the land.
Many times even the church falls prey to a principality because it is not identified. Example – the principality of busyness.
When it is identified we need to stand against the principality and overcome it!
David not only killed Goliath but made sure to kill him with his (Goliath’s) own sword. Now that victory! Taking down the enemy with his own weapons.
Pray this over your nation today!
Prayer: We speak over every principality of corruption, lawlessness, unproductivity that rules over your nation, you shall bow to the face of Jesus and loose your hold. We declare over this podcast that in the next one year your nation will see the highest amount of productivity, your economy will soar because of every spiritual giant falling face down in the name of Jesus. Amen!
