Greetings in Jesus’ name. As we continue to walk with the Lord, may our lives be transformed. There has to be a constant development and transformation when we see Jesus on a personal basis. The Bible says in Exodus chapter 34:29, “When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets, inscribed with the terms of the covenant, he was not aware that his face had become radiant.” This happened because he had spoken to the Lord. We see a beautiful and glorious picture of what can happen in our lives, when we speak to the Lord and when the Lord speaks to us.
When we spend time or indulge ourselves in God’s presence more than we indulge ourselves in the world around us, our lives will become radiant like the face of Moses. Moses had to put a veil over his face to cover this radiance but in the New Testament, we do not have to cover this glory. In Old Testament this glory will fade away with time but in the new testament Paul says that we keep increasing in radiance, going from glory to glory on a consistent basis.
Our willingness to spend time with God will fuel the glory of God upon us and in us. Share on XToday, as we read our Bibles’, we need to imagine the light of God illuminating our lives. We need to understand the impact it will have on the people around us. Imagine the glory of God radiating from your life even as you spend time with God.
Sometimes, we may not see the results of spending time with God, we may not be aware of the glory of God in our lives. That does not mean that God is not there or not transforming or changing our lives or nothing good is coming out of our relationship with God. Today, if we can trust the grace of God, the glory of God upon our lives, the process that the Lord is taking us through, then we will continue to go into the presence of God.
Jesus is the vine and we are the branches. We need to be attached to Him in order to represent His glory to the people around us. Jesus would do this daily, he would spend time with his Father in heaven. Jesus did not want to do anything that He did not see the Father do. He would keep going to his secret place of prayer and seek the Father, see the glory of the Father and now he would come down the mountain, represent, magnify and show off the glory of the father, to those around him.
We need to live our lives in the same way; when we spend time with God, it is not just to have a jolly time. No! it is so that we can come down, carry the stone take the covenants, principals, take the glory encounters and serve it to the people around us.
In the Old testament, these people did not have the capacity to take it from Moses, because any mistake could cause death. So Moses had to cover his face but in the New Testament we can just be ourselves and we can allow others around us to encounter the glory within and upon us that is going to minister through us.
Lets pray: Dear Jesus, wherever we are, we want to experience your glory and experience more of you today. When we spend time in worship, prayer and hearing your voice, reading your word, speaking in tongues, just engaging in spiritual principals given to us, we believe our lives are being transformed from glory to greater glory. We receive this greater strength in Jesus’ name. Amen
