Secured and Established

(Psalms 102:28 NRSV)

“The children of your servants shall live secure; their offspring shall be established in your presence.”

Transcript:

In everything we do, we will have a sense of security because the Lord is walking with us and we will not be shaken. Psalms 102:28 says, the God with whom we are walking and trusting. The God in whose hands we have entrusted our lives is the one who created the entire heaven and the earth. He cannot go wrong. He is a perfectionist. Everything that He works upon is good and perfect. It is beautiful and glorious. And yet everything God created has an expiry date.
Everything has an expiry. Even the majestic glorious universe will be worn out like a garment. There is one thing that is so secure and that thing is established in his presence. The presence of the one who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. If our parents or spiritual parents loved Jesus then that is going to be the firm promise over our lives. And because we are the offspring of the servants of God and identified as God’s children we are also protected from things that would otherwise fade away.
So wherever we are in life today, we need to remember that there is somebody who has worked hard for our blessings and sowed in tears so that we can reap in joy. Somebody has gone ahead of us, that even if the mountains are cast into the seas and the earth passes away, our lives and future will remain secure. Not because of what we have done but because somebody has gone ahead of us. They are the reason for our blessing today!
