I Am, I Was & I Will
Psalms 81:10 KJV
I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.
Let us fix our ears on the voice of God because the Lord is speaking to us this morning. He is declaring of who He is and explaining how powerful and well–abled He is. The Bible says, He is the Lord your God. Whether we acknowledge it or have a revelation or able understand it or not, He is our God. In various seasons, we fail to exalt Him as our God yet He proclaims it over our life which is the mercy of God. It is proof of the grace of God despite our ignorance for the pursuit of His presence. Let us disconnect from ourselves and connect to the source of our life.
In the context, the Lord speaks to the Israelites reminding them that He had brought them out of Egypt. Egypt was a place of bondage, slavery, no freedom, no rights and responsibilities. The Lord our God brought the Israelites out of despair, tears and lifestyle of slavery.
Our lives are a proof that God brought us out. We were once dead, sinners and alienated from God yet the Lord loved us in a way that overwhelm us. He showed His mercy upon us through His death on the cross. He took our pain, struggles, bondages, sickness, addictions, things we were enslaved to, upon Himself and now He is reminding us of what He has done for us in the past.
With your understanding of what God has done in the past, He wants you to trust and depend on Him for your future. He wants you to wait and open your mouth wide, and He will fill it. The extent to which you want to be open to God, He will fill, sustain and take you from glory to glory.
Let us trust Him for our future and acknowledge His doings in your past.
