Series: Give Birth to a Revival

Today we learn that having found favour by gaining access to His presence, for a revival to take birth in an individual, one must learn to remove the hindrances like emotional baggage that lay in the way.

The soul consists of the emotions, will, thinking capacity, reasoning- things that can undermine the capacity of the Spirit.

A sudden encounter with the supernatural can cause panic and fear like in the case of Mary.

Improperly handled emotions hinders the Christian from experiencing the fullness of God.

Fear is a natural emotion. However to be used of God and to be an instrument of revival in the generation, one cannot be led and swayed by emotions on a regular basis.

A person must lean on God to learn managing emotions, anxiety, fears and sorrows.

He is the One Who sustains, the One to be rooted in, the One to be led by- through and to Him.

Emotions are a blessing, but one must learn to disconnect with them at a certain point.

We love God with our emotions, but at a certain point, one’s love for God has to leave the realm of the soul to the realm of the Spirit.

To experience the history altering event Mary needed to put away her fears and embrace His will.

Being caught up with emotional baggage like unforgiveness, pain, anger, fear could abort the revival that could have been birthed in a person.

Whatever the struggle may be, bringing it to God can heal the broken, wounded soul.

In order for a revival to take place, the Christian must learn to lay down emotions and follow Him in the Spirit.
