Preached with Joyful Urgency
Mark 6:12-13 MSG
Then they were on the road. They preached with joyful urgency that life can be radically different; right and left they sent the demons packing; they brought wellness to the sick, anointing their bodies, healing their spirits.

In Mark 6:12-13, we see that everything on the inside of them continued to overflow. Preaching cannot happen if you’re motivated by materialistic rewards of preaching like money or fame. Your ministry should happen as an overflow of what’s on the inside of you. If there’s no joy on the inside, it will not overflow into the people around you. If there’s no song in your heart, you will not be able to sing a new song to God when you’re worshiping on a Sunday. God wants your ministry to be an overflow of what is happening in your heart.
The Bible says as they went preaching with this joyful urgency, they sent the demons packing. That is your assignment. You are not called to flee from the enemy; the enemy should flee from you. You need to flee from temptations and things that pull you down to bondage and traditions. The Bible says resist the devil and he will flee from you. Resist the enemy every step of the way and you will see the enemy leave from every area of your life. You will see such a level of God’s favor everywhere you walk into. You have the ability to reverse everything the enemy brings into the world. The enemy’s job is to kill, steal and destroy. Your job is to bring life in abundance because you carry Jesus in your life.
There are people who are unwell in different areas; your job is to bring wellness and healing into their bodies and lives. That is your calling – to send the demons packing and anoint the bodies of the sick. Just one touch from you is enough when there is an overflow on the inside of you. When you receive this message with thankfulness and joy, whatever is on the inside of you is bubbling up and multiplying and it will begin to affect the people around you. You will see demons leaving. You will see wellness and healing of souls and spirits accompany every word you speak when there is an overflow in your personal life.
How can you attain this overflow? Just rest in the promises of Christ. Rest and believe in Jesus. John 7:38 says, whoever believes in Me, rivers of living water will flow from within them.
Keep on overflowing with the presence and the power of Jesus that works through the Holy Spirit.
Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
