Sleep and Death
Ephesians 5:14 NLT
..for the light makes everything visible. This is why it is said, “Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light.”
Another day is added in our lives is because the mercies of the Lord. The Bible says that we must wake up and shine His light in the various aspects of our life. May His unusual and powerful light shine upon us.
We may want a break from God in a particular season in which we may think we might be having a nap or hibernating which is not true. The Bible says, rise up from the death. Sleep in your spiritual walk refers to death in your spiritual walk. When we decide to hibernate in our spirituality, we become a target to the enemy to pull us down.
The smallest breaks lead to highest of causalities as we can see in the life of David. Let us resist temptations from moving away from God. When you wake up from your slumber, He will give you His light and you will be a carrier of His light.
The smallest of breaks with God can lead to the longest of causalities. Share on XThis is for the people who have been raised to life, received the Holy Spirit and understand the heart of God yet hibernating. This is the reason that we are unable to discern between the right and the wrong.
Let us be awake in our spiritual realm. Let us always remain in prayers.
Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
