Spectator or Partaker
2 Kings 7:2
The officer assisting the king said to the man of God, “That couldn’t happen even if the Lord opened the windows of heaven!”
But Elisha replied, “You will see it happen with your own eyes, but you won’t be able to eat any of it!”
The bible talks about the season of famine in Israel in 2 Kings 7. The king meets Prophet Elisha asking for a solution for this famine. Elisha gave him a word saying by this time God will sort this out. But the officer assisting the king expressed his unbelief. But Elisha replied to the officer that he would see it happen but he wouldn’t partake in it.
Revival is coming, there is the move of the Lord that is coming in your city and nation, and if you believe in this word and are hopeful to see this come to pass then you will not just be a spectator but you will also be a part taker. But if you don’t believe you will just be a spectator. According to the measure of your faith that will happen to you.
The windows of heaven is going to open up, revival is going to come but according to the measure of your faith you will be a spectator or a part taker.
What are the things that you find it difficult to believe? Do you find it difficult to believe that –
– there will be wave of healing, signs and wonders in every place you walk into,
– there is going to be a season for salvation where people would just walk into your church or office and get saved or
– that your entire family will be saved even the ones who hardly trust in the Lord?
Repent of your disbelief and come to the Lord and ask Him for faith.
God has not called us to just see the blessings but also to part take and enjoy the blessings.
Disconnect from your disbelief and trust in the Lord and if you do so, then you will not just see the blessing but also eat of it.
Enjoy the day ahead and be prepared for surprises to come your way from God.
Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
