2 Thessalonians 3:1 GNT
“Finally, our friends, pray for us that the Lord’s message may continue to spread rapidly and be received with honor, just as it was among you.”
Let’s begin our day by asking the Lord to reveal the season that we’re in. To reveal the details of the speed and pace to which we are functioning at the moment.
There are certain seasons of life which we go through where God begins to accelerate and push excellent pace into everything that God is doing in our life.
Those are the seasons I would call as the revival seasons. What would normally take a year to come to pass, in a season of revival it would just take a few weeks or days to reach that point.
Sometimes we may be in a season of sowing or waiting, which can usually be a long process, however the moment we reach harvest or multiple rains, the harvest begins to multiply. Everything we have been sowing for multiple seasons will begin to come back to you with multiple productivity.
Our walk with God, our faith, our business, our conversations with people etc. will flourish.
In 2 Thessalonians 3:1 Paul is asking the church to pray for him, that the message of the cross and conversations about Jesus be spread. That the revelation of Jesus be spread to the lost and to everyone.
He was expecting God to send a revival move. What happens in a revival move is that all the seeds we’ve sown begin to multiply and manifest.
May God in His sovereign grace and mercy transition us into a season of rapid increase in our ministry, our church planting, our walk with God and in every area of our life.
In that season there is hardly anything that is impossible. It begins to bring momentum into the things that we are doing.
Let us receive this revival season that God is bringing into our lives and the momentum that is going to accelerate us in everything we are doing.
Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
