Series: Hosting Revival Through Worship

Solomon was the one to build the Temple designed by David.

  • David provided for the building that his son was to build along with the blueprint.
  • If God has not called you to be a Solomon who does the building, he may call you to be a David who provides for it.
  • Both are important. Without David, Solomon couldn’t have built the Temple.

Invest into the vision and the builders

  • To be a part of a revival, one must at least begin with putting their resources, influences and contacts in to it.
  • The favour is transferred into the person receiving it and they will carry the vision forward.
  • One cannot expect someone else to build upon their vision without investing in it.

Solomon was generous

  • Solomon sacrificed more than anyone mentioned in the Bible. He gave it all to God.
  • He followed the example of his father who was generous with his resources.
  • It invoked a great response from God, even though God knew Solomon was going to fall.
  • When Solomon finished praying, fire from heaven consumed the offering and God’s glory filled the Temple.

It is more difficult to give fifty rupees than to spend five hours in singing songs. Therefore, generosity in giving is one of the most beautiful expression of worship.
