The King is Coming
Matthew 21:5 HCSB
“Tell Daughter Zion, “Look, your King is coming to you, gentle, and mounted on a donkey, even on a colt, the foal of a beast of burden.””
Here’s a prophetic word for your nation, church and family. May this word become true in your weekend services which is a prophecy that was given in the Old Testament and Matthew echos the same. It talks about Jesus (the King) coming to you.
Question: What would this ‘coming’ mean?
This coming is the coming of Jesus to visit your circumstances.
Question: What do you understand about Revival? Having services with a lot of screaming and exceeded time and a huge offering?
Revival is when Jesus visit your church, home and nation.
That doesn’t mean His presence doesn’t come on another Sunday. This is specific about revival, whenever the presence of God begins to manifest and engage in the natural world, creating a response from us, when our spirits begin to respond to this King, it revives. Something died within us when Adam and Eve sinned in the garden, even though we have Jesus, it is only our spirit man that comes alive but our minds still need to be renewed, bodies still need healing.
When Jesus begins to manifest, it evokes a response from our body, mind and church (including inanimate objects), when people begin to respond to the presence of God that is revival.
Let that be a declaration in your family prayer time, personal prayer time and in your services that Jesus is about to come. And He is not coming as a pastor or a servant but as a King who deserves glory.
When you treat and worship Him the way you got to, this revival will spread across your family, church, city and nation.
Prayer:
Father, I pray that You will open the eyes of Your children to see that You are coming to visit them wherever they are. Help our hearts to be sensitive to when You walk into the room. And, when You walk into the room we want to honor You and celebrate You and see lives resurrect in Jesus mighty name, Amen!
Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
