The New Covenant
Isaiah 59:21 NLT
“And this is My covenant with them,” says the LORD. “My Spirit will not leave them, and neither will these words I have given you. They will be on your lips and on the lips of your children and your children’s children forever. I, the LORD, have spoken!”

One thing we take for granted, so often, is the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives. God’s word emphasises, the very reason we are alive is because of His breath in us, His spirit that is filling us daily. The death of Jesus won a permanent residence for the Holy Spirit in us.
Isaiah 59:21 God is speaking of a new and an everlasting covenant that He is making with His people.
A covenant is an agreement that can never be broken. It is binding in its very nature, by which God makes promises to His people and, usually, requires certain conduct from them. In this verse, God makes an emphatic promise that His Spirit, the Holy Spirit will never depart from us.
Regardless, of how inherently wrong we are on occasions, God still desires to bless us with His Spirit. Now, it’s up to us, to not bring sorrow to the Holy Spirit by the way we live by not quenching Him and not grieving Him.
The Holy Spirit being the third person in the Trinity, is God Himself. He is to be revered, honoured and worshipped.
In the Old Testament times, there wasn’t the assurance of the Holy Spirit. That is why David cried out, ‘’Take not Thy Holy Spirit from me…” because he had committed a grave sin. But in the New Testament, as we continually pursue the presence of God, through all our hardships and sinful lifestyles, God is promising us that He has imparted His words over us and these words are embedded on our lips.
We have almost the entirety of the Word available in our hands, in our devices, in our own languages etc. Aren’t we hugely privileged to have the Holy Spirt residing in us? We ought not to live like dead people who have no hope of tomorrow. The Holy Spirt illumines the Word of God and draws them out of our lips.
It is unwise, to ignore the indispensable role the Holy Spirit plays, in shaping our lives and destinies, by employing His miracle working power on the words that fall out of our mouths.
May we enter this week with the firm realization that God is with us. May every word and desire within us be in sync with His Spirit.

Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
