Our loving heavenly father cares and provides for us. Our Jesus is working for us and in us, and so is the Holy Spirit, the great comforter, who is now living inside of us.
That is why the Scripture says, “Greater is he who is in you than he that is in the world.” Because he is in us, there are no trials or challenges which are too hard for us to overcome, not just in the sense of experiencing a victory or a deliverance from the trial but also to remain at peace, and in a state of equilibrium even when we are going through a particular trial.
James 1:12 talks about a blessing, a favor, a grace that is given to those who remain faithful under trials. How can we remain faithful under trials? It is definitely not possible with our abilities. Because the world that we live in, is not a fair world and we might get hurt sometimes. Yet, because we have God on our side, we have the grace to remain faithful and steadfast under trials. This way, we don’t get swept away by every wind, wave, conversation, or debate that comes our way.
The Bible says, when we remain faithful during difficult times, we pass a test of faith and we will receive the reward of a crown of life. God says, if you love me, if you really care about your relationship with me and my relationship with you, then one of the best ways for you to prove that, is by relying on the grace that I am giving you and staying faithful under trials. When we stay faithful under trials, it is an expression of our love for the Lord. It is a great thing if we can sing songs, play music and lead worship, do a lot of things on the outside that proves and shows our love for the Lord, and yet, our ability to stay faithful in a season of difficult circumstances, speaks volumes. Because, it is easy to worship God when everything is working for us, but it is much harder to give, to sacrifice, lay ourselves down, and honor the Lord when we are under trials.
