Fall Upon That Stone
Listen
Transcript:
Jesus speaks about the cornerstone which He Himself is, the cornerstone that the builders rejected and talked bad about. People rejected Jesus, the Cornerstone, even accusing Him of healing by the power of beelzebub.
The One that was rejected by society was used by God to become the cornerstone for the kingdom of God.
Luke 20:18 says, if we fall upon the stone, we will be broken. Those that are willing to give their lives up, go through a temporary process of pruning and purification. When we fall at the feet of Jesus, we will be broken, hidden scars will come up to the surface, thus getting healed in every areas of our lives.
It’s not possible that our lives will not change when we go to Jesus. Jesus is a consuming fire, consuming everything in us that is dishonourable and not of God.
But the bible also says that, the ones that the stone shall fall on will crush them to powder.
If we fall on a stone, we’ll get hurt, but we will recover quickly from it. But if a stone falls on us, the injury is far more severe.
Jesus urges us to fall on Him to go through purification. But if He falls upon us, the severity of the effects are far more severe.
Today, let us have a relationship with this stone, who is Jesus. Let’s become vulnerable to Him and allow Him to change us inside out. This is for our eternal benefit.
Let’s not wait to face the judgement where the stone falls on us.
It is our choice to decide which option to opt for.
