Soul Hath Appetite

by | Podcast

Isaiah 29:8 (KJV)
It shall even be as when an hungry man dreameth, and, behold, he eateth; but he awaketh, and his soul is empty: or as when a thirsty man dreameth, and, behold, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul hath appetite: so shall the multitude of all the nations be, that fight against mount Zion.

God’s purposes cannot be defeated by those who oppose His people or His kingdom. Even when others try to attack, discourage, persecute, or hinder what God is building, their efforts will ultimately prove empty because God is able to turn every situation for His glory. We are therefore encouraged not to join in gossip, rebellion, or opposition against God’s people, but to remain faithful to the path and purpose He has given us. When we face persecution or people who speak against us, our response should not be hatred or retaliation, but prayer, blessing, and compassion. The key is to stay aligned with God, avoid partnerships that pull us into rebellion, and trust that He will protect, sustain, and fight for those who remain faithful to Him.
