Cross Examine Me

Welcome to the Month of February! Hoping that we experience new blessings breakthroughs and testimonies in every area of our lives. If we are intentional to receive from God, he will be intentional to pour himself over our lives. It is according to the measure of our thirst, hunger and desperation that God will come through for us. If we resist God and say we do not need him in certain areas of our life then He will not force himself into our lives. He will only come in if we invite Him.

Today’s scripture is a prayer by the Psalmist which takes a lot of gut to pray and when we decide to pray as such, God will come through and show us what is hidden in the deep dark crevices of our hearts and then we will be left with the reality of being able to deal with those issues and challenges left in our lives.

The third verse is a further desire that God should test and cross-examine his heart and if there was anything found dirty or harmful, he is in full awareness of Gods unfailing love. He also has lived according to the truth of God because he is inviting God. When we encounter Gods love, it will be hard to resist living according to His truth. It will begin to compel us to walk like God and according to the way the Holy Spirit wants us to. Wherever we are this moment, let us remember that Gods hand is upon us and we are not outside the cover of His hands if only we will trust Him and let Him in and when we stay with this, His unfailing Love will help us and invites His light which will, in turn, make us brand new.

Let our prayer to God today, this week and for the month be for God to cross-examine us, test our hearts and motives and ask for the grace to be aware of His unfailing love.
