Psalms 143:10
Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God. May Your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing.
Series: A Different Prayer
Every time God gives us an opportunity to come to his presence, we should grab it with both our hands, stand up, praise Him, and give Him glory.
Our life is meant to be lived in such away that we duplicate heaven here on earth. How can we do that? What would we be doing in heaven when we stand before the throne of God? What would be our response at that time? Why don’t we start replicating on earth that which we would be doing in heaven.
Let us all pray that we experience supernatural abundance this entire year.
Today’s scripture talks about asking God to teach us to do his will.
When we stand before God the father in heaven, He won’t judge us based on the number of people in our church, based on our bank accounts, based on how many times we have been to church, or on our knowledge of His will, but He will judge us based on whether we walked on the right path or not. There are many who know the right path, but there are a few who actually walk on those steps.
If we want our year to turn out to be different, just desiring to know God’s will will not do the job, but our desire to obey God’s will will; because faith without actions is dead.
When we are dependant on the Holy Spirit we will be able to do God’s will. He is the One who is the active power. The Holy Spirit’s job is to give you the ability to absorb His word when you read the Bible and help in your spiritual walk with God.
Reading the Bible without the Holy Spirit is reading it just for knowledge, but reading it while depending on the Holy Spirit will give us the power to do God’s will.
