The Great Baptiser
Matthew 3:11 (AMP)
“As for me, I baptize you with water because of [your] repentance [that is, because you are willing to change your inner self-your old way of thinking, regret your sin and live a changed life], but He (the Messiah) who is coming after me is mightier [more powerful, more noble] than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to remove [even as His slave]; He will baptize you [who truly repent] with the Holy Spirit and [you who remain unrepentant] with fire (judgment).”

Today, may our hearts and minds remain receptive before the Lord, the more we hunger and thirst for the Lord, we will be quenched.
In Matthew 3:11, John says that he sees the repentance of the people, as their willingness to change their old way of thinking, attitude and personality. As people began to encounter God, their perspectives were changed and so, I [John] will baptize in water to signify the new man living in you, then he goes on to say – “As for me, I baptize you with water because of [your] repentance [that is, because you are willing to change your inner self—your old way of thinking, regret your sin and live a changed life], but He (the Messiah) who is coming after me is mightier [more powerful, more noble] than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to remove [even as His slave]; He will baptize you [who truly repent] with the Holy Spirit and [you who remain unrepentant] with fire (judgment).
Today, we want to be the ones who believe he comes into our environment, and we have to be the people to be baptized by the spirit of truth, prayer, and his Holy Spirit. He is looking for individuals on whom he can unleash this baptism. If we are willing, he will take over our life, he is not given just to speak in tongues or to receive the gifts of the Spirit; these are some parts, but the primary part is, that we exhibit the part of God through our characteristics, our speech and deeds and this is not possible by a person or church but only by Jesus who baptizes us in the Holy Spirit.
Let’s humble ourselves before this great baptizer Jesus, John said he was unworthy to untie his sandals. That is the greatness of Jesus, who is going to fill us with the Holy Spirit, and when this happens, our lives will never be the same.
