Times of Refreshment

Feb 1, 2018 | Podcast, Revival

Acts 3:20 NLT

“Then times of refreshment will come from the presence of the Lord, and he will again send you Jesus, your appointed Messiah.”

Series: Understanding God’s Time

This week we have been learning about God’s time and how we can walk in it to bring it to it’s fullness.

Apostle Peter preaches about repentance and turning to God initially, in the book of Acts.

Many times, we wait for times or seasons to change. As we take a step to change the scripture says, ‘there will be times of refreshment’. As a result of the refreshment, He (God) will send us Jesus again.

This verse has two interpretations:

i. Jesus will be sent back to the Earth (The Second Coming).
ii. It also talks about experiencing Revival.

Question: What is Revival?

Jesus manifested in a way we haven’t experienced before is ‘Revival’.

This kind of revival would come to pass when we ‘turn’ our minds and change our perspective to things.

Let’s ask and seek God’s will in every area of our lives for Him to change our perspective.

The verse explains about ‘times of refreshment’ which would come from the ‘presence of the Lord’. This makes it look like an ‘object’ which could be in the form of angels, blessings, etc.

The best way to experience the presence of the Lord is when we’re surrounded by people that worship God.

As we change our perspective to working and walking with God, He will be glorified in and through our lives!
