Freedom by Promises
Listen
Everyday we have on earth is another chance to serve Him better, love Him better and admire Him better.
One of the ways that can be a show stopper that can destroy our relationship with God is our unawareness or ignorance of the promises of God in our relationship with Him.
When we have an access and understanding of the promises of God in our life, then we can walk in freedom and victory. Share on XThe one reason we are so stuck up with trying to please God with our works and lifestyles, we try to use them to make God happy. Whereas the freedom God wants to offer us doesn’t come from obeying everything our parents ask us to do or doing everything our church usually practices or etc. but our freedom comes from our ability to believe what God has promised us.
Are we reading the scriptures and know the promises God has over our life?
We are all prisoners of sin and the only thing that can free us from the consequences of that sin is our trust in the promises of God.
It’s not that our works aren’t important or are redundant, but our works and pursuit of perfection like Jesus needs to be from a result of our trusting in His promises. Share on XIt’s because we have the promises of God over our life that causes us to grow in intimacy with Him, now good works are a natural result and byproduct to everything we are doing.
But we are not supposed to read scripture just to find out how we can make God happy but to find out what God is speaking over our life.
So, rather than focusing on what we can do for God, let’s focus on what God can do for us with His promises.
