Do Not Fight

Greetings to you all in the name of Jesus!
Today, we have the opportunity to go into the heart of God and understand why certain things take place in our life, questioning how did God allow this area of our life to be attacked? or how is it that God allowed this pandemic? Why is it that this financial crunch entered my home or my business even though I serve and love God? How is it that I don’t have the results or outcome that I aimed for or that I believed for?
1Kings 12:24 is an example where God is now speaking to Judah, the nation had been split into two. One was the nation of Judah and the rest was Israel. It says “do not fight against your relatives, the Israelites. Go back home for what has happened is my doing” so they obeyed the message of the Lord and they went home as the Lord had commanded. This confused the people of Judah because God had initially promised that David’s descendants were forever going to rule over the throne and this throne was going to rule over the whole nation of Israel. But at this juncture, there was another called Jeroboam who had now taken away 10 tribes of the nation of Isreal and he had become the king over the rest of Israel and Judah is just left with two tribes. This could have been extremely challenging for them to process this and yet when they went to the Lord, and when they started speaking to the Lord, He said “I know that this is not something you can make sense of but I don’t want you to fight your relatives, I don’t want you to pick up this battle, I don’t want you to go to war for this reason for this is my doing. This loss in your life is because I am at work in this and if you try to fight this it is only going to hurt you more so in this area rather than trying to get back what you wanted or what you lost, you should be trying to figure out why did you lose this. Why did you go through this season? Why was this taken away from you and go back to rectifying those things?
When we are sick, we go into an excessive mode of praying and healing but we never stop to ask why did we fall sick in the first place. How is it that the protection, the provision and the presence of God not work for me at this juncture? When we ask these questions, we will get answers, solutions, principles and protocols that will protect us from falling back into the same ditch the next time. It will help us to understand God’s will in our lives in such a deeper and better way. God’s will is not for you to be hurt, it is not for you to be harmed, it is not for you to be destroyed. Yet He allows some pitfalls so that you will be able to pause and ask yourself, your pastor or leaders why they think this particular thing happened when you fail to grow and succeed in this. Some pitfalls are the Lord’s doing, it is not Him bringing it to your life but Him allowing it in your life so you have the time to pause and think.
God said “don’t pick up a fight with your relatives”, let me tell you “don’t pick a fight with your wife or your employer or the people that listen to you and submit to you just because you don’t have the kind of outcome you expected, where you’re not getting the results that you expected. Don’t pick a fight with them, instead go to God and find out how is it that my children rebelled against me, why did it happen? why did they leave me, what did I do differently? What did I do wrong? How could I have avoided this catastrophe? How could I have prayed differently or better? how could I have understood your ways and your principles and your protocols and different levels? When we ask these questions, the reason we don’t find is that we don’t seek after it, we just ask and we get stuck with asking but Jesus said ask and you will receive, but when you don’t receive you need to go and seek so that you find the answers. We tend to stop with asking and try to get everything on a superficial basis thinking if we do our part we will immediately get the solution, and the answers and the blessings that I was waiting for. There are some things we need to go seeking for, go ask for the will of God, go find out where you defaulted, self reflect and when you ask God, He is coming down with these answers to give you help.
At times in situations, we ask the Lord about it and expect a solution. But, certain situations need us to seek the will of God. Share on XWhen you seek it is impossible that you don’t find. Read the scriptures, try to ask the Holy Spirit to open those areas of your heart and your mind to be able to see through the blind spots or blind areas and surely the Lord will give you a reason why He is doing this. This is what He told to the people of Judah “this is the Lord’s doing” so don’t fight it, just go back home because He has ordained this. Instead, figure out why is this happening and why God allowed it to happen and that will give you the answer on how to overcome and how to get back into what God wants to give to you.
May this word be encouraging and bless you! and may you seek God’s will in every area of your life.
