Known Holy Scriptures
Listen
Transcript:
This day is beautiful because we have God, when there are millions of people who don’t have an encounter with God or revelation or Jesus.
But we have the Word of God. Most times we think it’s because of religion or family background that we have a relationship with God, but it’s actually because of the Word of God resonating with us.
The “Holy Scripture” in the above verse is referring to the Old Testament. We know that in the Old Testament, we do not see the stories about Jesus in the physical way that we have access to through the epistles of Apostle Paul, Peter, James and so on. In the Old Testament it is very cryptic foreshadowing the arrival of Jesus.
In the above verse, Apostle Paul writes to Timothy indicating that the scriptures that he’s learned are able to make one wise.
Apostle Paul says so about the effect of scriptures because it has the ability to develop supernatural faith and trust for God in our Spirit. This supernatural faith in our Spirit will transpire into our soul, mind, rationale and every area of our being.
There are thousands of people out there who don’t have access to scriptures, but we have such access to the Word, the Bible in our possession and podcasts in the palm of our hands. So the very fact that we can read the Word of God and understand, makes us strong, thus helping us become a child of God who is filled with the presence of God.
The Word of God is the foundation on which we can have a revelation of the person of God. Share on XBible says ‘Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God’. So let us be intentional and honour the Word of God by indulging in it wholeheartedly.
