The Greatness of the Sender
Listen
Welcome to this brand new day, Praying that we receive a fresh revelation from God today, one that will upgrade our standard of life and cause us to be hungry for more of God in every area of our lives. The Lord does not want us to go through life without a purpose, We need to know the price we have to pay to reach where God wants us to reach. The more we are intentional and purposeful in our lives, the easier it will be to activate divine principles that will be necessary to take us where we are to go. If we are unaware of where we are going then we will not be intentional with the principles that we need to put into place and the things we need to do on a day to day basis to surrender to God in each area of our lives.
Today’s verse shows us that students are not greater than their teacher and slaves are not greater than their master. Jesus is giving a very foundational principle which is to ensure that every tribe of Israel has heard that the Kingdom of heaven is here and that there is a new dawn coming. He wanted them to carry this message throughout Israel before this, he told them what to expect and what to receive and what not to receive. In saying so, Jesus puts it to them that they were the disciples and the members of the household and should not expect to be treated better than the way the master was treated. The principle Jesus tries to drive across here is that no matter how anointed or well behaved a student may be, they are not better than the teacher or leader that God has placed above them. He can accomplish more things, make more money, have better relations but yet he can never be greater than his father only better.
The more intentional and purposeful we are about our lives, the easier it is to activate divine principles necessary to take us where we need to go. Share on XWhen we are sent by the Lord, here is a principle that we can continue to practice day by day. The one who has sent us is greater than our assignment and the blessing that we are expecting to see during a mission. The Lord wants us to remember that the anointing upon our lives may be spectacular but that does not mean that it is way better than the one who sent us. Jesus wanted his disciples to be disconnected from the praises of the people. He made them understand that even though He was the master of the household he was treated differently. Let us be encouraged today as we go out to where ever the Lord has placed us that the Lord is by our side and He is greater than our assignments and He is the one we need to Impress and represent where ever we go. May the Lord empower us with this word not just for today but also for the rest of the week.
