Good morning and Greetings in Jesus’ name!
I believe that the Lord has strategically placed us in places of authority and influence with a purpose to exercise dominion. The Lord wants us to stand as representatives and witnesses wherever we are sent.
When we read Revelations 11:4, we get to know about two witnesses that will come during the last days. It says, “These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth.”
These two witnesses are described to be olive trees and lampstands because they stand before the Lord. Can this be said about us that we stand before the Lord of all the earth? Everything that we do and say, everything that we are upon the earth is the reflection of who we stand before. It is a overflow of what we receive when we stand before the Lord. We are indeed witnesses of our heavenly King.
These two witnesses because they stand before the Lord if the earth, they have now been transformed into olive trees. Olive trees that bear fruits, refresh, gives shade, reproduce, planted by a river. What is need to be a tree that cannot reproduce and bear fruits or do not have any medicinal qualities?
The Lord wants each and everyone of us to be trees that will produce fruits in and out of season, when the environment is working for us and even when the environment is working against us.
In the new testament we read a story where Jesus finds a tree that is suppose to bear figs and the bible also adds the description that it was not the season for the tree to bear fruits. When Jesus finds that tree he cursed it. He said that the tree will not bear anymore fruits. Jesus expected the tree to bear fruits in and out of season.
So I pray that the Lord will cause each and everyone who stand before the Lord to be like an olive tree; a tree that brings olive oil and fruits; a tree that provides shade; a tree that connects people to their destiny.
The second description about these two witnesses are that they are two lampstands. The objective of being a lampstand is to elevate the light; they themselves are not the light but they are carriers of that light. They disperse the light in such a manner that it is going to reach the farthest corner of the room based on how high they have been elevated.
We stand before the Lord today, we are suppose to be the carriers of light. No one in our generation has to be in darkness because we are strategically placed to reflect and disperse the light we are carrying.
May the Lord cause you and I to be olive trees and lampstands, because we stand before the Lord of the earth. Every day our calling is to stand before the Lord of the earth.
Let’s pray: Father, I pray that whoever is listening to me, that they will be transfigured to that place of divine authority and grace into a place from where now they will represent your face and grace. Bless them Lord, strengthen them Lord, elevate them Lord; cause each and everyone of us to be a witness that will now be an olive tree and to become a lampstand that you have assigned us to be, in Jesus mighty name we pray, Amen.
