Isaiah 27:6 NLT
“The time is coming when Jacob’s descendants will take root. Israel will bud and blossom and fill the whole earth with fruit!”
Series: The Book of Isaiah
God is very careful to plan each and every day of our lives and if we can continue to give Him glory, credit, thanks, praise and worship then we will continue to see His promises unfold in our lives. True, unchanging, never failing written word of God that was been true for centuries, actually for two millenniums, it’s been true and held true and every word in it has happened as it is. If we can continue to trust in God, everything that He has promised in His word will come to pass in our lives, family, church, city and our nation.
The best example for that is the kind of promises that God made over Israel and Judah.
Isaiah 27:6 says, “The time is coming when Jacob’s descendants will take root. Israel will bud and blossom and fill the whole earth with fruit!”
What is the promise God is giving here?
God is saying that there is a multiplication that is going to come upon Jacob, Israel and the twelve tribes of Israel and that the nation of Israel is going to “bud and blossom.” This is the word that came from God when Assyria had taken Israel into captivity and they had destroyed the land, but yet in the middle of this chaos and hopelessness, God spoke a prophetic word over Israel that it is going to bud and blossom.
Are you struggling? Are you in pain? Are you in the midst of attacks? Are you going through loses? Whatever you may be going through, God knows how to make sure His word that He has given you will not fail.
Will you trust God’s promises over your life this morning? God is always faithful to fulfil what He has promised you.
Trust in Him and walk with Him all through this season and He will bring you out victorious and glorious.
Have a blessed day ahead!
Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
