Song of Songs 7:6 NLT
Oh, how beautiful you are! How pleasing, my love, how full of delights!
The whole goal of the scripture is to explain who Jesus really is with an ultimate goal that we fall in love with Him for eternity.
All of eternity we will be spending it in continual devotion to Jesus.
Marriage is for life, so often people end up in wrong things that would wreck their marriage, that is because they begin to take the eyes off their spouses and begin to see the imperfections and start criticising each other.
This has been from the day one, from the time sin came to this world we’ve been blaming and criticising one another.
But the bible talks about marriage as being an illustration of the relationship between Jesus and the church.
Your marriage here on earth is just a shadow of the eternal marriage that you will be in with Jesus.
How will it be that you are continually able to live and breathe in love for Jesus all throughout eternity? If this is the ultimate destination that we are going to, then we need to practice it here on earth by having a desire for a deep, committed, passionate love for Jesus.
In Song of Songs 7:6, one lover is speaking his heart to his lover saying, “Oh, how beautiful you are! How pleasing, my love, how full of delights!”. As a child of God we need to learn to confess this to our Master everyday and ask the Holy Spirit to open the eyes of our spirit to be able to see the heart of God.
The more you see His beauty and glory, the more you will fall in love with Him.
So often we don’t look at Jesus, but we look at our benefits, our blessings and life and that is why we are put off so easily and start complaining, but if you choose to fix your eyes on Jesus, you will see His beauty and you will feel the deep sense of pleasure in your heart.
Your soul is custom made to be satisfied only with Jesus. Share on XPsalms 16:11 says, “..in Your presence there is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
The Lord is full of delights for you. If you can just open your eyes and fall in love with Him with fresh hunger, faithfulness and desire, you will be like that lover who would wake up every morning and say, “how beautiful you are, how pleasing and how full of delights!”
More than being just a child and a friend of Jesus, may the Lord make you a lover of Him this day.
Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
