Glorious Praise
Psalms 66:1-3 HCSB
“Shout joyfully to God, all the earth! Sing about the glory of His name; make His praise glorious. Say to God, “How awe-inspiring are Your works! Your enemies will cringe before You because of Your great strength.”
God has called us to have dominion over not just in our physical circumstances but also in the spiritual. The key to this is to constantly thank, praise, worship, admire and adore the Lord. The more you do this, the more you welcome His presence into your broken world.
The Lord says that we have to constantly shout joyfully to Him. It is not talking about specific people but to all the earth.
However, shouting is not just enough, but we have to sing about His glory.
The name of the Lord carries a glory, protection, provision and a way of making a home for you.(The name of the LORD is a strong fortress; the godly run to Him and are safe. – Proverbs 18:10)
Whatever may be your challenge or problem, declare and sing of His goodness over your life. If you are constantly talking about your problems then you are praising your problems, instead if you are constantly talking about how good God is, then you are making His praise glorious!
The psalmist also says to speak to God and tell Him how awe-inspiring are His works.
If you are going through any sickness or any struggle, begin to confess the strength of God over your life. Shout and sing about His glory and talk about His awe-inspiring works, then as a result of it, all your enemies will cringe because of His great strength.
Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
