2 Chronicles 20:18-19 MSG
Then Jehoshaphat knelt down, bowing with his face to the ground. All Judah and Jerusalem did the same, worshiping God . The Levites (both Kohathites and Korahites) stood to their feet to praise God , the God of Israel; they praised at the top of their lungs!

According to the Bible verse mentioned for today, there were three groups of people mentioned in the verse. They are:
i) Common Men
ii) Levites (both Kohathites and Korahites clan)
iii) Royal person (Jehoshaphat, the King)

  • One thing found common among the three groups of people was that they humbled and worshipped God.
  • It doesn’t matter where you are, how you are or what your situation is, the solution to life’s problems is to worship God in the ‘middle of problems and circumstances’.
  • We don’t worship God to get a breakthrough from our problem, the reason we worship Him is because God is worthy of worship.
  • Job says, ‘Though He slay me, yet will I hope in Him.’ (Job 13:15 NIV)
  • Job did ask God a lot of questions.
  • But, as we choose to worship God in the middle of the circumstance we disconnect the power of the circumstance over our lives.
  • This is what the king, priest and ordinary men did. However, the first person to kneel and worship was Jehoshaphat, according to the Bible.
  • Are you willing to be a leader in life by worshiping God to see a generation follow our pattern of lifestyle?
  • Making a choice to worship God by humbling ourselves not only would change the circumstances but also cause the next generation that sees our lifestyle to start worshiping Him.

Let us set an example for a generation to see and worship God following our lifestyle of worship.
