Secure the Kingdom
He is the one who will build a Temple to honor my name. He will be my son, and I will be his father. And I will secure the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever. – 1 Chronicles 22:10 NLT

This morning, let us make it a desire to pursue the heart, the mind of God and the wonderful plans that God has planned and purposed for our lives!
In 1 Chronicles 22:10, the Lord gives a prophetic word to King David about his son, Solomon, who is next in line to rule over Israel.
And this is God’s desire for Solomon, that he should build God’s temple to “honour God’s name.”
To be honest, whenever we wish to do something for the Lord, we tend to slip somewhere in between! We tend to make it about us. We do things so we can bring glory to ourselves, so people can notice and respect us.
Yes, God does honour us when we do something for Him, He faithfully rewards us but when we make “our rewards”, “our promotion”, “our honour”, the intention to serve God , that’s where we fall.
I pray that, this morning, we will build a lifestyle to build His name, His kingdom, His glory!
Matthew 6:9 says, pray like this: ‘Our Father, dwelling in the heavenly realms, may the glory of Your name be the center on which our lives turn’. I pray that the glory of God’s name will be the center of everything we do and say.
The Lord also makes a divine exchange to King David, He says to King David that Solomon will be His son and He will be his Father and He will make his life and future secure.
How does this divine exchange apply to us and our lives? Yes, when we make God’s glory the center of our lives, that’s when God takes complete ownership of us, our lives and our future! Yes, no doubt we are all the children of God but its a whole new level when God says that you are my son/daughter in whom I am pleased, in whom I delight and rejoice in!
I pray that we will live a life for His glory that God takes ownership over our lives! We will live in such a way that our lives will be a pleasing aroma to God that He will show us off to the world!
I hope this word will edify your walk with God and you will live for His name to be honoured in all the areas of your life.
