Series: Promise of Restoration & Protection
The more we consider His promises over us, the more we will be able to thank and worship Him.
The intent of sharing these promises are not just so that you can be satisfied and happy and go back content, it is also so that you see the reasons why God wants to bless you and take care of you and open up your hearts towards thanksgiving, worship and adoration towards God.
Isaiah 54:14: You will be secure under a government that is just and fair. Your enemies will stay far away.
You will live in peace, and terror will not come near.
We all have enemies. If not people, there will be things or circumstances which often acts as an enemy. It is not the people who are fighting you but the enemy, the spirit working behind them. The bible says our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual power and principalities in the air.
Isaiah 54:14 says that God will make sure to keep your enemies stay far away from you, so that you will be able to live in peace. The things that cause you to lose hope and courage, none of them will come near you. This is the promise of God. He will do this by placing you under a government that is just and fair.
If we submit to the government we will be secure. God is offering protection to you, that also means that you need to remain under His protection and to remain under this protection it is necessary that you remain under a good government. Which means that the first person you need to submit to is God Himself – to His voice, His Spirit and His teachings.
The next that you need to submit to, is your mentors, your parents that God has placed around you.
If you don’t have any people who you are learning from and you are accountable to then there is some problem in you submitting.
If you believe that someone who preaches on television is your mentor, which is good, but the problem here is that person will not have access to your life and you will not be accountable for your actions. That is why it is necessary to have mentor, a father, a mother around you to whom you can be accountable and receive from them personally.
Bible says, when you submit to them, you will be assured that in this season they are going to be just and fair, no longer will you be a prey to controlling mentors, to pastor who are jealous, upset or insecure, because God says, He is going to cause a government to come that is secure, just and fair. And when you submit to such government, the bible says that you yourself will be secure, with your enemies being far and you will live in peace.
We hope and pray that you will ponder over this today and will submit to His Lordship over your life. Stay blessed!
Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
