Who Do You Say I am?
Matthew 16:15-16 NLT
Then He asked them, “But who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

This is a very familiar scripture to many of us. Jesus asked them who do they think people say He is. Some gave various names. Suddenly Jesus wanted to know what was in their hearts, and the bible says that He pressed and pushed them to next level to asked them, who do you say I am, and then, Simon Peter replied and said Lord Jesus; You are the Christ, the Messiah, the Son of the Living God.
Jesus said it is not flesh and blood that has revealed this to you, but my Father in Heaven who revealed this to you which means that when Peter was speaking he was not being emotional in saying that. He knew without a shadow of doubt because of the impression that the Spirit of God had made upon his heart that Jesus is the Messiah, the Christ, the son of the Living God.
What is the revelation that you have about Jesus? What has He embedded upon your spirit? What has He opened your eyes to see about Himself?
What you have learned from people is only information, what you have heard or read in magazines is only knowledge, what you received in church is only sermons and profound thoughts but none of them will carry you when you are on your deathbed, when you are in desperate need for a healing. Money and finances are not going to carry you through those difficult times or seasons in your life when you don’t have money.
You need a personal and direct revelation of the God who is the provider.
What people have said about Jesus or the bible, it will only teach to you to a point of you being introduced to God.
If you are hungry and desperate, then you will definitely receive the revelation that God wants you to receive in this particular season and hour.
Be committed and be faithful in your reading of God’s word, take your heart to God in communication on a regular basis and begin to respond to the Holy Spirit.
Prayer:
Father I speak in the name of Jesus that every person that needs a touch from You let them receive the touch in the mighty name of Jesus. I declare the virtue of God to enter into every fabric of their life right now to such an extent that they will experience a deep embedding revelation from You God. There are some people out there who have never ever spoken in tongues who is going to start speaking in tongues today because I believe that and I declare that over their life right now through this podcast. Thank You for Your mercy. Thank You for Your grace. Thank You for Your glory, in Jesus might name I pray, amen.
Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
