Whose I am!
Acts 27:23 KJV
“For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve,”
Everyday is blessed by God and we need to give our best to Him. It is He who gives us breath to live.
In Acts 27:23, Apostle Paul is testifying to the people on a ship when he was stuck in the storm and when people had lost hope. He is encouraging the people saying that when Paul was praying an angel of the Lord had visited him. He mentions as – “the angel of God, whose I am and whom I serve”. This is the equation that he has with God.
His identity is with God. He knew that God would not allow him to die since God had sent him, he knew that God was in control of every detail of his life and so knowing this confidently, Paul was encouraging the ones who had lost hope.
Do you really know whose you are, where you belong, who owns your life or how much God values you?
Only if we understand this, it will be very easy for us to continue to serve Him inspite of any difficult circumstances that we will be in.
Will you come to Jesus today and say that you belong to Him? Only then you will not be shaken. Instead of despair, your reaction will be filled with worship, instead of sorrow, it will be filled with joy, instead of complain, it will be faith filled trust in Him.
When you know whose you are, you will also know whom will you serve. We only mess up when we do things in despair.
Hope that we will be different, that even in desperate seasons we will continue to go to God and serve Him.
Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
